Doug Soares

Doug founded Expertise in 1999 and he currently serves as Chairman and CEO for the Expertise Group of companies. Immediately prior to incorporating Expertise, he was head of HR for the Bermuda office of EY (1995-1999) and was previously a Compensation Analyst with Bank of Bermuda (1993-1995). He holds a BA from Western University.

In addition to his leadership of Expertise, Doug is an experienced adjudicator employee misconduct matters and arbitrator of labour disputes. His service includes many years as an appointee of the Labour Disputes Tribunal, the Permanent Arbitration Tribunal, the Essential Industries Settlement Board and the Permanent Police Tribunal. He has also served as a panelist for Police misconduct hearings conducted under the Police (Conduct) Orders 2016.
